For years, people have been looking for the next Michael Jordan, and most agree that Kobe Bryant has come the closest.
In my opinion, there will never be another player like Michael Jordan. But every era has its superstar who dominates the game, the way LeBron James does right now.
Same Moves
A video is going around right now that puts Kobe and MJ side by side and compares their moves. It is interesting to watch, but it does not really surprise me that Kobe, like probably every other player of his generation, took a lot from MJ.
The Numbers
Since the moves alone do not tell the whole story, I also added an infographic that compares the stats and awards of the Jumpman and the Black Mamba. For me, the MVP awards and championships speak for themselves.
Look closer and you will see that in three of his five titles, Kobe was not even the best player on his own team. Back then, that was Shaquille O'Neal, who won all three Finals MVPs from 2000 to 2002. With Jordan, there was never any question. Scottie Pippen was always Robin to MJ's Batman.

My Take
Kobe is one of the greatest of all time, no doubt. But there is only one Michael Jordan. If you want to relive the era when MJ and the Bulls ruled the league, check out the documentary Unstop-A-Bulls.
