This track arrives in the middle of one of the most significant stretches of Inspectah Deck's career.
"Czariana Grande" is produced by 7L and Pat Vandyke and boasts of taking over car speakers whenever INS Ya Highness and 7L and Esoteric unite. It appears on Dragon's Breath, Inspectah Deck's fifth solo LP, fully produced by P.A. Dre — with the exception of a handful of tracks, including "Czariana Grande" and the closing cut "Explicit Material," both handled by the Czarface production team. Dragon's Breath finds Deck exhibiting the razor-lyricism that has made him a cornerstone of Wu-Tang's 36 Chambers mythology. "Czariana Grande" is exactly what a Czarface collaboration should sound like. Inspectah Deck in his lane, 7L building the beat, Esoteric holding his side. The title is a joke that works because the music behind it is serious. That balance is the Czarface formula and it has never stopped working since their debut in 2013.
The context around this album is historic. Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer arrives on August 28, the next iteration of the "Czarface Meets..." series following collaborations with MF DOOM and Ghostface Killah. Parallel to this runs the reunion with the full Wu-Tang Clan for the remaining dates of the Final Chamber tour beginning July 28. And all of it culminates in the Clan's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on November 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
