Daniel Son, Asun Eastwood & Futurewave – Dirty Weaponry (Nom De Guerre)

Daniel Son, Asun Eastwood and Futurewave Dirty Weaponry official music video still, from the album Nom De Guerre

Daniel Son, Asun Eastwood and Futurewave have a new video out: "Dirty Weaponry", the closing track of their album Nom De Guerre. The album dropped on October 28, 2026 via Wav.God Music, the label Futurewave runs with Daniel Son. Futurewave produced every beat.

Toronto's Trio

All three come out of Toronto. Daniel Son is part of the Brown Bag Money collective, Asun Eastwood was born in Belize City and raised in Toronto, and Futurewave handles the production. They first worked together as a trio on Physics of Filth in 2018, followed by Bite the Bullet. Nom De Guerre is their third album together.

The two MCs complement each other well. Daniel Son brings a heavy, slightly dragging delivery, Asun Eastwood a tighter, more clipped cadence. Futurewave gives them both plenty of room on dark, gritty loops.

Nom De Guerre

The album runs 13 tracks and about 41 minutes. Toronto legend Kardinal Offishall appears on "Fassy Bwai", with further guest spots from Lord Fury, Lord Juco, 36 Cypher and Wizdome Bunitall. Before the release, the trio already dropped videos for "Catch A Limit" and "Clean Up Nice".

For me, the way Futurewave works is the most interesting part here. He produces, shoots videos and runs the label, so the whole project comes out of one hand. That is the kind of independent setup I respect a lot as a beatmaker.

Nom De Guerre is available on all streaming platforms.
