When Two “Piano Loves” Collide

Conway the Machine released Piano Love in 2022 on his album God Don’t Make Mistakes, a track that quickly became a standout. Two years later, in 2024, I dropped my own beat tape titled Piano Love, including the track Schemers.

The name overlap wasn’t something I planned at first, but once I noticed it, the idea was too strong to ignore. Two different “Piano Loves,” two different energies, and one obvious experiment: what would happen if Conway’s verses from Piano Love were paired with my beat Schemers?

Here’s the result — a tribute remix that connects 2022 and 2024, merging two works under a shared title:

This remix isn’t about rewriting Conway’s original. It’s about conversation across time — letting his bars breathe in a different instrumental space and highlighting how hip hop thrives on reinvention, reinterpretation, and even coincidences like two projects sharing a name.

The piano is the common thread. In Conway’s original, it’s haunting and raw. In my tape, it’s textured and evolving. Together, they create a dialogue that feels both familiar and new.

If you’re into this remix, you can step fully into my Piano Love world. The beat tape is available everywhere:

Thanks for listening and supporting independent music. Every play, download, and share keeps these experiments alive — and who knows which “coincidences” will spark the next tribute.
