Not everything has to be new to feel fresh.
Loops in Transit brings together five beats that have already been out in the world for a while. You could already hear them on YouTube and find them on BeatStars. What is new here is not the material itself, but the way it is framed.
I wanted to take a handful of older tracks with a smooth, dusty feel and bring them together as one sequence. Less like a standard release, more like a curated run. The idea was not simply to stack beats next to each other, but to listen for what connects them. The mood. The pace. The transitions. The feeling of moving from one space into another without breaking the thread.
That is where Loops in Transit came from.
On their own, these tracks each carry a certain atmosphere. Together, they create a different kind of listening experience. Jazzy Moves opens the tape with warmth and ease. Vague Ride keeps things drifting forward. Play It Again holds the pocket. Nervous Thought brings more tension into the run. TRAIN49 closes everything out with motion and weight.
For me, this tape is less about introducing something unheard and more about re-sequencing existing work in a way that gives it another life. A bit like pulling records from the shelf and realizing they belong in the same set after all.
You can buy the full mixtape on Bandcamp.
If you want to use individual tracks for your own music, you can license them separately on BeatStars.
