Skyzoo – Blue & Orange Everything (prod. by Marc Nfinit)

Some records sit on the shelf waiting for their moment. This one just got it.

The New York Knicks are up 3-1 in the NBA Finals against San Antonio. One more win and the city gets its first championship since 1973. So this is the right week to revisit "Blue & Orange Everything" — Skyzoo's love letter to the franchise, released back in April 2024 when a Finals run was still a hypothesis.

Skyzoo is Brooklyn through and through, Crown Heights born, Bed-Stuy raised, and the track works exactly the way his best material does: precise writing, layered references, no wasted bars. The blue and orange isn't a gimmick here, it's biography. In the video description he points back to the 90s, when the Knicks and the "Go NY Go" chant were the soundtrack of being a kid in New York. Anyone who watched Ewing and Starks fall short year after year knows what this current run means.

Production comes from Marc Nfinit, who has been in Skyzoo's corner for over a decade — he was on Barrel Brothers with Torae and Music for My Friends. The Virginia-raised producer keeps it soulful and unhurried, the kind of beat that lets a writer write. Adio Ash directed the visual.

Game 5 goes down Sunday night in San Antonio. Until then: blue and orange everything.
