Buckshot – Good Day | Official Music Video

Buckshot is back and he brought a full album with him.

"Good Day" is a single off The Package, Buckshot's third solo LP, released July 10, 2026 via Duck Down Music. The video is directed by Mo Staf. What makes this project notable beyond the music itself: Buckshot produced the entire album himself. The BDI Thug behind the boards and on the mic, no outside producer, full creative control.

The track lives in jazz rap territory. Soulful instrumentation, a relaxed Brooklyn tempo, Buckshot narrating a good day in the hood with the kind of specificity that only comes from someone who has been rapping about the same streets for thirty years without once sounding like he is repeating himself. The album moves between this warmth and harder boom bap directions across its runtime, with General Steele of Smif-N-Wessun adding lyrical firepower on his feature slot.

The Boot Camp Clik connection is impossible to separate from how you hear Buckshot. Black Moon, co-founder of Duck Down Music alongside Dru Ha, the de facto leader of one of Brooklyn's most important collectives. The OGC just dropped "Make Peace" a few days ago. Boot Camp Clik is active across the board in 2026, and The Package is the most significant statement yet from that orbit this year.

Buckshot returning from hiatus with a fully self-produced album is a statement about craft and independence. Not a comeback tour mentality. Just an MC and producer sitting down, making the record he wanted to make, on his label, his terms.
