The title says it all. No chatter, no detours, straight to the point.
"Kein Palaver" is the second single from Argus, the upcoming collaborative album between Lakmann and Morlockko Plus. After "Soulmusik" set the tone, this one doubles down. The credit structure tells the whole story: Lakmann writes, Morlockko Plus builds the beat, and Morlockk Dilemma steps on the mic as a featured guest. The fact that Morlockko Plus and Morlockk Dilemma are the same person, Falko Luniak from Leipzig, one alias behind the boards, one on the mic, is not a gimmick. It is just how he works, and the two sides of that creative identity are both fully present here.
That dual presence is what makes Argus different from a standard producer-MC collaboration. Lakmann brings the bars, Morlockko Plus builds the world, and Morlockk Dilemma inhabits it alongside him. Three credits, two artists, one clear aesthetic.
"Kein Palaver" as a title is a statement of intent that applies to the whole project. No nonsense, no filler, no time wasted on anything that does not serve the music. Lakmann has been operating on those terms since Creutzfeld & Jakob in 2000. Morlockk Dilemma has been operating on those terms since Index Finest in 2006. When two artists with that kind of shared foundation finally make an album together, the result should sound exactly like this.
Vinyl editions, tapes and merch for Argus went live July 9 on kapitalismus-jetzt.com.
