It is official: Rhymesayers has confirmed January 21, 2014 as the release date for Lord Steppington, the first full album from Evidence and The Alchemist as Step Brothers.
Ron Carter
Here is a track that, according to the tracklist, did not make the album, and it is still dope. Named after the legendary jazz bassist, Ron Carter shows exactly what makes these two so good together: Alchemist's dusty loops and Ev's calm, precise delivery. If the leftovers already sound like this, the album should be something special.
More Step Brothers
The two already showed their chemistry as Step Brothers on James Hendrix from Evidence's album Cats & Dogs. For more Ev, check out his video for It Wasn't Me, and for more Alchemist, his work with Oh No as Gangrene on Vodka & Ayahuasca.
