The album is coming July 29 and "Alley Oop" is the clearest preview yet of what Price Of Pain is going to sound like.
Dave East and Harry Fraud are teaming up again for Price Of Pain, their forthcoming joint album arriving July 29. The last time they did this was Hoffa in 2021. Four years between collaborative projects is enough time for both to have grown individually while keeping the chemistry intact. "Alley Oop" proves the dynamic still works.
Harry Fraud builds a cinematic, soulful instrumental with the kind of atmospheric texture he has become known for across his catalog. The drums hit, the samples breathe, and the production gives both MCs exactly the space they need. Fraud has been on a consistent run with collaborative projects and Price Of Pain looks like another entry in that tradition.
Styles P is the right feature for this record. The Lox veteran brings decades of New York street credibility and a delivery that never wastes a bar. He and Dave East operate in the same lane, different generations of the same city, the same commitment to lyricism and substance over trends.
The album will feature Benny The Butcher, 38 Spesh, Snoop Dogg, AZ, Styles P, SUZI and Cruch Calhoun across its 14 tracks. That is a guest list built for one purpose: quality New York rap with no concessions.
Dave East has already released four different projects in 2026 before Price Of Pain was even announced. The output is relentless and the quality has held. "Alley Oop" is directed by The Infamous Oz.
